He Is Risen: A Message of Love for All
An Easter Reflection from God’s Girl
“He is not here; for He is risen, as He said.” — Matthew 28:6 (NKJV)
Easter is the ultimate celebration of victory—of life over death, love over sin, and hope over despair. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, conquered the grave so that every single one of us might be reconciled to the Father. Not one group, not one denomination, not just the faithful or the flawless—but all of us.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 (NKJV)
Let that sink in. While we were still sinners. He didn’t wait for us to be perfect. He didn’t require us to earn His grace or prove our worth. Christ died for the broken, the ashamed, the wandering, the weary, the prideful, and the poor. He died for the ones who have never stepped foot in a church, and for the ones who never miss a Sunday. He died for all.
So this Easter, when you glance around your church pews or community, may we be slow to judge and quick to love. Perhaps, when you see someone dressed in their Sunday finest—someone you’ve only seen in church on Christmas and Easter—you might choose to hope instead of judge. Hope that maybe today is the day they feel God’s Spirit so strongly, they begin to return again and again, growing deeper in their walk with Christ.
And to those dressed in their very best, remember: not everyone can afford a new outfit or fancy shoes. When you see someone worshiping in jeans or old sneakers, instead of assuming they’re being disrespectful, remember:
“For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” — 1 Samuel 16:7 (NKJV)
This day is not about clothes or appearances—it’s about a Savior who gave everything for us. It’s about the empty tomb, the risen King, and the invitation to new life.
Be blessed, all of you.
Happy Easter from all of us at God’s Girl.
He is risen—indeed!
